Morning Lauds

Each on-campus school day begins with “Lauds,” which is what we call our morning office/prayer/assembly.

The liturgy follows this structure:

  • Greeting

  • Morning Psalm Singing (from The Book of Psalms for Worship, Cantus Christi 2020, or the Trinity Psalter Hymnal)

  • Scripture Reading

  • Brief Discussion from Scripture Reading

  • Morning Announcements

  • Pledge of Allegiance

  • Leader or Student Led Prayer

  • Lord’s Prayer (ancient, traditional)

  • Doxology

  • Dismissal to Class

“Grounded in piety, Christian classical education is the transmission of the culture of the Church through a faculty of friends who love the truth by cultivating virtue in the students in body, heart, and mind, and nurturing their love for wisdom and faithful service of the Lord Jesus Christ.”
